While Gail was pursuing an AA degree at the age of 53 she came down with a mysterious illness that lasted for over a year. Hoping to distract her from the pain her husband gave her a pocket digital camera as a Christmas gift knowing that she had always liked to take photos, but while raising four sons, money and time were tight.

"Talk about a digital revolution! Before the battery was barely charged, I began taking photographs and five years later I'm still taking them every day!"

Anna Quach was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but now lives in Southern Italy with her husband and two boys. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in Economics and is a self-taught graphic design artist. Her first independent, professional move was entering the wedding industry and designing invitations for a variety of special occasions. This creative avenue allowed her to expand into corporate branding by designing innovative and unique logos as well as designing art for major retailers. Her works of art are a reflection of her love for family, nature and music, and aims to inspire life through everyday décor.

We live and breathe words. They are everywhere we go and resonate in our minds – the good and bad. I love having the opportunity to design beautiful art and incorporate the right words of encouragement that will make someone feel good, confident, optimistic, hopeful and loved. When someone comes across my art and it makes them smile or gives them a glimmer of hope, that is what makes it all worthwhile.

James Redding, a popular landscape artist, is well known for the intricate detail and the unmistakable realism found in his paintings. Never content to just create an attractive picture, Redding strives to capture and express the unique character of his subjects through a careful balance of composition, color, lighting, and mood. Admirers of James’ work delight in spending time studying his pieces and searching out treasures not immediately obvious to the eye.
James’ approach to art is uniquely his own, and it can best be described as the combination of vision and preparation. This approach lends itself well to depiction's of historical landmarks, for which James has a deep appreciation. His subject matter also includes still life, floral, and simplistic nature scenes found in the rich tapestry of the countryside.
James resided in picturesque Bucks County, Pa. for over 30 years before relocating to the Nashville area in 2015.

On inspiration: “I take my inspiration from the simple landscape. I love painting scenes in their natural state, drawing the eye to their unusual details. The lopsided mailbox, the rich colors in an autumn landscape in contrast to the drab weathered barn, all add character and substance to the scene. I also find it challenging and exciting to capture the mood created by the delicate play of light at the end of a country road mixing with the hazy morning dew, or the fading light at the end of a day when the shadows are growing long. I have found that some of the most inspiring times of the day for a landscape artist are dawn and dusk.” On preparation: “Many times when I begin a new work, I can envision the completed picture before the first brush stroke. I usually research the scene long before I make the decision to paint it.”

His unique style has attracted the attention of many manufacturers and his creations have been licensed for textiles, wall-paper and stationery products.

"I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to combine my interest in gardening and my talents as a mixed-media artist. I firmly believe that true value appears where awareness, harmony and passion meet. My creativity is channeled from the endless source of inspiration provided by nature. I also borrow freely from historical references and my botanical knowledge to create my art. It is a dynamic process: I constantly re-invent my work, incorporating new looks, ideas and dynamics as fashion and design trends evolve. The series of hand colored collages presented here marry the rich textures and colors of my garden with the charm of antique botanical prints."

I also admire the beauty of the architecture as well as any type of artistic element I have found in the many places I have had the chance to visit. My photography and paintings are more than a way of self-expression. In fact, it is the finest and closest sensation to love. I love what I do! Lisa Hill Saghini comes from a long line of artists and artisans who value creative successes above material ones. Her father was an artist and writer and he helped to nurture her love of both using books, sketch pads, pencils and cameras. Lisa's love of photography began in grade school with an assignment to compose a vignette, capture it on film and then develop the image in a darkroom. Her affection for all forms of art continued at The University of Florida where she studied art history; always returning to her favorite artistic expression-photography. Born in Fort Lauderdale, she is a true beach bum. Growing up in south Florida, her childhood was spent either toes in the sand or a pair of boots, dividing her time between the beach and the barn. She strives to breathe a bit of salty aired serenity into her work, whether it be in the images of her beloved ocean, horses or any other subject.

"I love photography because it provides the ability to record an image that had an impact...the priviledge of looking at it and immediately recalling how you felt when you were in that place, or some place like it."

Joyce Shelton resides in Florida and is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She enjoys a varied career in commercial illustration and fine art painting. Adept at watercolor, pastel, oil and acrylic, her works are reminiscent of the early 20th century impressionists in their free gestures and bold use of color. Images of flowers, fruits and interiors marry color, pattern and form in works that are both personal and decorative.

"Increasingly, I find myself enjoying the freedom of painting loose, spontaneous design as opposed to working within the confines of commercial illustration. It is exciting and satisfying to create art with a more practical application to be enjoyed by a larger audience. It begins as a simple piece of white paper, and ends as an expression of my very existence."
